Paris has long been a dream destination for Mai Ton and Andrew from Vietnam, so they chose it for their engagement portrait session with our photographer Elena Usacheva. A stroll around the Louvre and the Seine river on an early morning in May was full of tenderness and love for this lovely couple, and Elena captured it perfectly!

For their first wedding anniversary, Jody decided to surprise his wife Sharon with a romantic portrait session during their visit to the City of Light. Our photographer Elena Usacheva met them both at sunrise and took them for a stroll around the Notre Dame Cathedral and later to the area around the Eiffel tower. Jody and Sharon had enough courage to start their session as early as 7 a.m. and enjoyed not only the softest possible light on a sunny day, but also the city that belonged only to them!
When in Paris, have you ever wondered what is hiding behind the closed doors of its numerous magnificent buildings? While museums and churches are open to the public, certain edifices first of all serve their direct purpose and can only be visited during Heritage Days in September. One of such venues is the Hôtel de Ville de Paris, the Town Hall of the City of Paris. Besides Heritage Days, when the building gets very crowded, the Hôtel de Ville organises guided group visits several times a year, balancing them with the busy schedule of local administration. This year, I had the chance to be a part of such a visit, camera in hand and I can't wait to share my discoveries with you!
There is one sure way to start smiling: to revisit the photos we took of our wonderful couples during the past year in Paris. Each session brings back plenty of fantastic memories of that day, the moments of affinity and joy, of jokes and laughter, sweet surprises and unexpected catches. We thank our participants again for sharing these moments with us!
Karen and Mario traveled all the way from Indonesia to Paris for a romantic couple portrait session around the iconic landmarks of the City of Light. They met our photographer Catherine O'Hara around the Louvre, walked along the Seine river and swans, stopped by the ornate Alexandre III bridge, and continued to the Eiffel tower. This elegant portrait session ended with Edmond getting on his knee and offering his heart and a ring to his beautiful fiancée right by the Eiffel tower. Our congratulations to this lovely couple!

They met our photographer Nadia Gric for a few portraits around the Eiffel tower and soon decided to continue the session at the elegant Palais Royal with its arcades protecting from the stormy weather. What seemed to be a challenge in the beginning turned out into a wonderful portrait session, full of good mood and smiles, and of course the memories of Paris!
Mary and Steve came to Paris for their honeymoon... even before their wedding! But when a couple is so happily in love, does that really matter? Elegantly exuberant, Mary was laughing so easily in front of the camera that Steve could not take his eyes off his future wife. A romantic portrait session of this lovely couple around the Louvre and the Seine river in early March with our photographer Nadia Gric will surely bring memories of their wonderful time in Paris for the years to come!
Have you noticed how fast children grow? Today they say their first word and tomorrow they already go to school... You see them laughing and jumping on their first trip to Paris and you think of how nice it would be to stop the time and live it again and again. The city of Paris is considered one of the most romantic cities in the world, so when it comes to a wedding proposal, Paris makes a fantastic background. Earlier in January, Cheng-Wei and Ming-Ying met our photographer Catherine O'Hara for a stroll in the iconic sites of the City of Light: the famous Place des Vosges in the Marais, around Notre Dame Cathedral, and of course by the Eiffel tower. The day would not have been complete without a beautiful bouquet and a lovely engagement ring - she said YES!
Another year has passed and the Fire Monkey has replaced the Wood Goat... Yes, that's right: the Chinese New Year has arrived and the carnival is back in the streets of Paris! It is always so much fun photographing street events and festivals, so I simply could not miss it. After capturing dragons and firecrackers against the traditional Parisian backgrounds of the Marais in 2015, this time I decided to head to the 13th district of Paris, the very heart of the Chinese community. The show promised to be truly flamboyant, if it wasn't for those rain clouds on the horizon... but first things first.
